Dickens’ Festival, Carlyle, Friday, November 30th. Thank you; this tour is sold out. Join us for our annual step back in time as we journey to Carlyle for their wonderful Dickens’ Festival. You will delight in their transformation of Main Street into an English Village from Dickens’ time. While in Carlyle for the festival, we will enjoy their High Tea for our lunch, delight in the great outdoors as we take in horse drawn wagon rides, follow the Tiny Tim Food tour, warm ourselves around the bonfires, and maybe enjoy a little retail therapy at King’s Department Store. Be sure to watch for the street urchins and carolers, and Scrooge himself has been known to roam the streets. Food vendors can be found on the Main Street as well with such mouth watering options as Turkey legs, chowder, and so much more. Other highlights of the day include live entertainment and beverages at Fezziwigg’s Pub, the lighted parade, and of course, Cornerstone Theatre’s annual version of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”. This year, we will enjoy an encore performance of “Carol”, the delightful show we saw last year. According to my sources, it has been “tweaked”! Last year, the Cornerstone Theatre group not only wrote the play, they wrote the music for the show as well. It was fabulous, and I am thrilled that we get to see it again.
